The idea

The art market shrank. Attention spans shrank. I made the paintings two inches wide.

My role

For a commission from Art Market Productions at Atlanta Art Fair, I made nine portraits, seventy inches tall, in a booth four feet wide. I painted friends and neighbors, then sold the work myself.

What happened

A proposal and a parody, presented by Quarter Gallery. All nine paintings sold on opening night.
