Signature Series
I drove my signature across the United States.
- Year
- 2008
- Format
- Original travel series
- My role
- Creator and host
- With
- Sony
The premise
I traced my signature onto a map of the United States and followed the route by car. Sony backed the series.
My role
I pitched, created and hosted the series for Sony, with my own team of producers, cinematographers, sound, editors and writers. We made projects with people at every stop along the route.
Along the way
The line determined where I went. Along the way, I made projects with the people I encountered. One stop became an anonymous semi-nudist colony in Idaho.
Impact
- 19 cities along the route of my signature, with projects made with people at every stop
- Funded by Sony as original programming
- Covered on TV and radio along the route, from local news to South African national radio
